Which are year around texas weather flower plants for yards?

I'm trying to improve our back/front yard in the new house we moved into. It was never taken care of and the grass is dry and many empty spots. Have my hands full.

A lot of it depends on what part of Texas you are in. It's a big place and we have lots of different weather patterns here. Would these plants be in full sun? Full shade? Or a little of both? Look up what Neil Sperry has to say about your particular area.
