Misprint???????

Today I bought this Pretty Petals craft kit to make fake flowers. I'm supposed to put wires in petal shaped things and paint them and once it dries it will supposedly makes flower petals that look like stained glass.

But in the directions it says after painting to wait 8 to 12 HOURS for them to dry. That just doesn't seem right at all. Could it be a misprint?

Misprint???????
Yes, that is definitely correct. Personally, I find they 'set' better after waiting a full 24 hours. I prefer to let them sit untouched at least that long. The "paint" is actually a form of colored acrylic, and takes a long time to set properly.
Reply:I would trust the directions. I suspect that as it dries, it also becomes less fragile and can be handled and arranged with less potential damage.
Reply:I had some of those! that was a great kit, but I don't remember how long we had to wait,... that might be right... I think we just left them over night because my mom just had us kids make them later at night.
Reply:Not a misprint at all. I see this done often lately and the gals here that do it sure can d a lot of them in one day. they leave them for at least one day and some time many days to dry.
Reply:Please be patient. There's nothing at all wrong with something's taking 12 hours to dry. Go do something else while it does. (Sorry, didn't mean to sound snarky; just be patient.) Not everything is instant. In fact, some of the best things in life take much longer than 12 hours! I once asked a friend about the recipe for some yummy meat she'd served. The "secret" was marinating it in the fridge for 3 days. I guess one has to plan ahead for some things. That was absolutely delicious meat. I have an idea these flowers will be beautiful, if you give them the time to properly dry and cure. Be patient.
Reply:Howie friend, i don,t think its a miss print cause painting fake flowers it takes longer to dry, bet they look nice when hung on your lovey walls.
Reply:I think that sounds correct- I'm not sure what your painting but if its plastic or glass it takes a while for that type of paint to totally dry and "fix" itself.
