I got stung by a bumble bee on the inside of my left hand?

i was outside just got in the swimming pool and it came buzzing around me. i can't stand anything that stings. so i ducked and it was still swarming around me so i got out and it stung me. I'm pregnant and i was wearing a red bathing suit with flowers that were sort of red and black. i don't know if it was attracted to that or if i put of a scent while pregnant because the other day i was washing my car and got a little wet from the hose and one was swarming around me. i didnt have perfume on either times. i do want to go swimming but am afraid of it happening again. my hand is a little swollen still. is it me or the suit. so i stay dry while outside.

It is most likely that the bee was attracted by scent. Find a fragrance free sunblock and try that out. Even soaps have a fragrance.
Reply:Most bee stings respond well to a drop of dilute ammonia being put on them, A baking soda paste can help too. These both help kill the venom. Just so you know for next time. The ammonia should be quite weak, and only a drop or two.
Reply:I hope you are not allegic to bees. If you have any doubt, see your doc.

Meanwhile, ice that sting, and in time it'll feel better. There is an anti itch cream you can get at any pharmacy section of a large department store or at a drugstore. Benadryl cream I think it is. Antihistamine.

You might want to call an exterminator or get one of those things that kills insects with electricity. Good luck.
Reply:Common factor is the water, bumble bees drink water also and probably didn't help much wearing a bright colored suit which a bee might associate with flower/fauna.
Reply:Honestly, I think it was just chance that a Bee happened to be flying by you in the pool and during the car wash. Chances are, if you go in the pool again, you most likely would not get stung by a bee.
