I just got married and had a huge bouquet, I would like to preserve it but think it's too late?

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do. I had a 2 dozen rose bouquet and would like to save it. I have hung it upside down to dry it out. I got married on June 10th so it's pretty dry now. I'm just wondering if it's too late to do anything with it. Can flowers that are dried out be pressed if I bring it to someone? Just looking for input on what other brides did with their bouquets after the wedding and any unique ideas for something to do with mine. Thanks in advance!

As a retired florial designer, I can tell you a florist cannot do anything with the origional bouquet. Before you dismantle it you could take it to a florist and have it duplicated in silks but this would be very expensive(and not your origional bouquet) What I would suggest is you pick out the best petals,find a beautiful container with ventilationon the top. Put your special petals in it an sprinkle essence of rose over them,(avaiable in craft stores). Put it on your night table where the beautiful fragrance will remind you of your special day. Very Romantic!
Reply:Most preservation companies will want to pick it up the day after the wedding. I think a month and a half is pushing it a bit.

Reply:Well I used silk flowers so I could always keep them and nobody even noticed that they were silk!



I think it would be neat to press some into your scrapbook around some pictures. That's what I would do. You could call a florist and see what they say towards this. You never know.
Reply:You can always purchase a special spray and get a shadow box from a craft shop and put your flowers in like that.
