Our front flower bed has a bad odor after it rains.?

Our front flower bed smells after it gets moist, rainfall, watering, etc. It is fine during the dry season. We have lived in the house for about a year. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the odor? We haven't added new mulch or bark since we moved in. The house is 7 years old and I reside in North Texas. Any help would be appreciated.

Mark H had the right idea kind of. It's more than likely cat urine. Which seem's to become twice as strong after it rains for reason. Myself and a neighbor are having the same problem right now with another nieghbors cat. Cat unrine contains very high levels of ammonia, and thats whats your smelling. I work with a lady who is a certified master gardener and she told me to plant cat nip in another area of my yard so the cats are attracted to that area rather than my flower beds. So maybe that suggestion could help you too. Good luck!
Reply:If it is fresh mulch, that is what stinks. Even some wood mulch is really stinky when wet. In time, it will fade.
Reply:Yes tell your neighbors to keep their f'n cats inside so they won't do their thing in your flower bed.
Reply:LOOK and see if something has been deposited there cand covered up. It could be just molds. Could be a dead animal.

Go to a hardware store and see what they have for the problem. Hoyakins
