Why is my tattoo fading so soon?

I got my first tatttoo on March 10. I followed the after care instructions I was given, using Neosporin and then lotion. Two weeks later, I noticed the color had almost completely disappeared from one of my flowers. I went back to the tattoo place a week later to get a touch up, but now it is fading again. I'm not sure what to do about it. I have kept it out of the sun and have been using Lubriderm lotion, but it is very dry and the skin is flaking off. The color is coming off when the dried skin falls off. Help?

you should only be putting on a thin layer of bacitracin or vitamin b cream just enough to keep it moist
Reply:depending on what color it is, your body may not take it...each body is different, but red expecialy is a very hard color to stick..and unfortunatly sometimes so Is purple...it is normal for your skin to peel off like that..and it may just look like the color is fading, i know mine did..it's your skins way of getting rid of extra ink.
Reply:As mentioned by someone else, some people have a difficult time keeping certain colors. The skin will exfoliate to try and rid itself of the foreign properties and this is how the fading occurs. If this is the case, there's not too much you can do. However, a friend of mine went through this a while ago and eventually changed some of the colors in the art. The new colors stuck better and she hasn't had the fading that she had before. Something you may want to consider....good luck.
Reply:its because it is dry and flaking =try using oil to shine it up

good luck===if this keeps up demand a refund and go somewhere else
