Please reply only if you are a believer. Can anyone tell me more about them? Like what not to say, what to give, or anything else. I live in Las Vegas. Is it too hot for them here? I tried making a garden with flowers that attract them, but the flowers were totally fried in a few days. Do you reccomend any flowers that don't dry out easily but still attract fey? Are there any spells or chants required?
How do I attract/contact/summon Fey/Faeries/Fae/Fairies if I live in Las Vegas?
The fey can be located in most places on the planet, and no Las Vegas isn't too hot for them, you'd just find a different variety of fey, ones more attuned to the hotter drier conditions.
However the are alot of selfish and self-serving implulses in a place like Las Vegas (gambling...) which would serve to seriously disturb such beings as they thrive on the more pure human emotions.
The easiest way to make contact with them would be to cast a circle (have a look at Wiccan and Magickal tradition on how to do so) and summon them through there, however be certain you are doing this for a reason, such as to gain a natural blessing on something or someone, or to seek advice, as the fey (in celtic mythos they're known as the Tylweth Teg) are powerful critters and once summoned will wish to expend their energies on a purpose... fail to give them one may result in Chaos!
I'd recommend a quiet spot outside of town, look for a possible ley-crossing (the invisible energy grid of the planet) which are usually marked by an object that often looks out of place there. If you centre your circle on this point you are making use of the natural energies and one of the thinner parts of the 'veil' between our world and their's.
Reply:Helyn,
From what I've experienced, a fairy really likes the natural world. Lots of flowers, vegetation. Cool, misty, moisty, mornings. We, as humans operate on a much less refined plane of existance. To feel their presence we need to go into a meditative state which is at a higher vibration. For the hot climate, try sunflowers, celosia, zinnias, marigolds. Don't know anything about spells or chants. Denniger

Maybe these can help.....
Reply:With all the craziness and corruption in that city, it is no wonder the fairies will not go near it. They love a little bit of nature and otherwordly peace, and this may be a message to you that LV is not the place for you.
Reply:So I stumbled on this while seeing if I could find any faerie stores here in Vegas. There is a belief called Animism that says that spirit exists in everything. That means spirit exists even in our easy bake oven gambling ridden town. People often think this city is all sin, but the Casinos are not so big they cover up the mountains there is a lot of beautiful nature to escape to. The Red Rocks must be full of little folk. Though I must agree with a previous poster I think they must look considerably different. Also some plants do quite well out here you just have to look up plants that are draught resistant. I have noticed Rosemary likes it out here a lot which I thought was odd.
Faeries are attracted to all number of things besides plants. Like honey, Meade, Cheese, and most entertaingly, Beer!
Also you may enjoy a book called The Complete Idiots Guide to Elves and Faeries. I know, I could'nt believe it either, and idiots guide to the wee folk. The book is both funny and infomative. It should answer all your questions and keep you busy with crafts for a while.
