You can buy a dehydrator, they work well or just dry on paper towels in the sun maybe but not for too long. The sun can fade them. We always pressed flowers in wax paper and had them set in a heavy book for a day or 2. If you need them faster you can put them in wax paper, set a towel over it and use an iron set on low.
I want to dry and press a flower, how do i do this?
get the flower you want and put it in between the pages of a big book for a week or two!
Reply:If its for any art thing you should get a fresh flower. put between a thick phone book for a few days. then you have a dry and pressed flower
Reply:put in wax paper, then stick it in a heavy book.
Reply:get a book, and something heavy to put on top of it, then put the flower in the middle of the book, and put it in a dry place in ur house. set the heavy thing on the book, and look back about 4-5 days l8ter!
Reply:you can stick the flowers in a pages in a book then step on the book and let it sit for a few days or a week. or you can take two paper towels then put the flowers in between. next u can put the flowers in the microwave w/ the flowers in between and turn it on high for about 20 seconds. i love pressed flowers they r so pretty they look good in a picture frame. have fun!
Reply:Take a piece of paper and lay the flower on there and then take another piece of paper and put it on top. Then put some heavy books on top and wait a week before moving them. Take the flower out, it should be mostly dry and definitely pressed. If it is not totally dry you need to put it in again for a few days. I always spray just a light coating of varnish over the flower to protect it. Hope this helps!
Reply:hang it upside down...don't automatically close it in a book...that will turn out bad.
