Looking for a really mellow white wine, no purfume taste or flower not dry and not too sweet?

Hogue Johannisberg Riesling... it's a light peachy flavor with a candied orange citrusy finish, but only a little sweet...

Beaulieu (BV) Coastal Estates Sauvignon Blanc - zesty kiwi and lime flavors... no floral aroma at all...

Chateau St. Jean Fume Blanc - just a little barrel aging, enough to tone this down and make it a little creamy when you take your first whiff... nicely mellow... then balanced out with flavors of grapefruit, fig, melon, little tangy acidity, very nice.

Last, but not least, I'd suggest Gallo Family Vineyards Reserve Chardonnay - with pineapple, pear, apple, nicely balanced but a real bargain as well.

Nothing I've listed is more than about $10 a bottle.

Reply:I have no idea where you are located but in Wisconsin, Wollersheim Winery makes a Prairie Fume that everyone seems to like, even non-wine drinkers. I think you can mail order it, too.
Reply:Conundrum is the best white table wine I have ever had. It is a blend of several different white grapes the wine is complex and very easy to drink. You can find out more at there web site. www.conundrumwines.com.
