I bought a calathea crocata a few months ago.
It was fine first but about a month ago leaves at the bottom started drying out and now the flowers are also starting to dry at the bottom. They ve become sorta brownish.
I water the plant 1-2 a day in a small amount. If i leave it out for more than 1 day the plant responds instantly (floppy leaves), guess thats due to dry air in my room but i spray it regularly. Well, used to. The leaves started getting brown (dry and dead) spots. So i do not do it too often now.
(I used boiled water. It was cold when i used it of cause!)
Am i using a not fine enough mist spray? Not doing it enough?
Maybe the window sill is too drafty during the day?
Or is it most likely the soil? Should i repot it?
Am i watering it incorrectly ?
I really do not know what might be the cause, can someone please help me out?
Can someone help me with my Calathea Crocata?
