How do you make a wreath?

I want to learn how to make a fresh wreath out of real flowers. I know they dry out quicker, but I think they are really pretty. My question is how do you put it together and do you buy something that will keep it together?

Carol H. gave good information. Also there is a wire wreath form for fresh flowers. It is round and has prongs sticking up. You gather up a good sized handful of flowers and greens and trim the stems to the proper length and lay them on the ring and press the prong down tight over the stems. You repeat this all the way around the ring until all the prongs are filled. This can be very pretty, but it does all dry out quite quickly so it is best to use material that dries prettily, like straw flowers or babies breath.

Reply:What kind of wreath are you making? I used to be the floral designer at Michaels. Its actually quite simple depending on which type you choose. You can use a grapevine wreath, a straw wreath or the evergreen ones that come out during christmas, all can be found at michaels. all you need is a hot glue gun and whatever you want to decorate with. if you decorate with flowers, you will need some wire cutters. Michaels has some great ideas. www.michaels.com
